Jeff Pippin and Bill Socher – Two local business partners and avid fishermen, Jeff and Bill were frequent patrons of Minnows and Monsters under the old ownership. One day, in casual conversation, they were asked to buy and take over the ailing business and bring it back to life. The old store operated for more than 20 years in an 800 sf location before they decided to move in 2012. They relocated just one block north at bigger and better location and expanded into an even bigger, full service tackle shop. The store is dedicated to stocking only the best fishing gear that is proven and available, along with expert advice and knowledge to help educate and equip even the best of fisherman.

Keith Knecht – A local fisherman with over 50 years of experience fishing in the Tampa Bay Area, Keith is our shop manager and a renowned Shark fishermen. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge in fishing for the many species in the Tampa Bay area. Keith is also our resident rod and reel repair person. He takes pride in the fact that sometimes even he cannot tell which guide he replaced on a rod, except by the fact that it is new and shiny. You will often see him checking his work with a magnifying glass. His artistic flair and pride-in-workmanship is apparent in his custom rods. His locksmith background gives him the patience and passion to repair almost any type of reel.

Enver Hysni – A local fly fisherman with over 30 years of experience fishing in the Tampa Bay Area, Enver Hysni is committed to promoting and advancing the sport of fly fishing, both inshore and offshore, in salt and fresh water. Enver decided to turn his hobby into his business by opening Tampa Bay On The Fly, a one-stop, dedicated fly fishing shop that offers both experienced and novice fly fishermen the products, guidance and training they need to learn and enjoy the sport. After many meetings with Enver, we finally convinced him to join our team, bring his knowledge along with On The Fly, and put it in-house with us at Minnows and Monsters.
